The Ocean Project ~ The Ocean Project is all about empowering our Partners for positive action! We conduct and monitor public opinion and communications research related to conservation; develop effective communications strategies and tools for our Partners; build connections for conservation among our Partners; and provide the latest news, information, and resources to help our Partners be as effective as possible in all they do.
Save the Mermaids ~ The Mermaids act as ambassadors to the sea by educating the public about human-sourced ocean pollution and advocating for lifestyles and behaviors that preserve the ocean environment.
Dana Mermaid – Dana has wanted to be a mermaid since she was a child. A photographer and marine mammal naturalist who also swims in the ocean in a gorgeous mermaid tail, Dana’s vision is the following: “The mermaid, being half human and half fish, inspires that connection we have to the ocean world and the sea that is so imperative for our survival on earth.”
Algalita ~ The Algalita Marine Research Foundation (AMRF) vision is a global environment that is healthy, sustainable, and productive for all living creatures, free from plastic pollution.
Surfrider Foundation ~ The Surfrider mission is the protection and enjoyment of oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.
Mission Blue ~ This multi-year, global partnership initiative is aimed at restoring health and productivity to the ocean by inspiring people to care and act, reducing the impact of fishing, and promoting the creation of marine protected areas (MPAs).
Plastic Pollution Coalition ~ Plastic Pollution Coalition is a global alliance of individuals, organizations and businesses working together to stop plastic pollution and its toxic impacts on humans, animals and the environment.
Blue Ocean Institute ~ Blue Ocean Institute is the only conservation organization that uses science, art, and literature to inspire a closer bond with nature, especially the sea. We translate scientific information into language people can understand and use to make better choices on behalf of the sea.
Conservation international ~ Conservation International (CI) works to ensure a healthy and productive planet for us all. Through science, policy and field work, we’re applying smart solutions to protect the resources that we all depend on.
NRDC ~ The most effective environmental action group in the US, combining the grassroots power of 1.3 million members and online activists with the courtroom clout and expertise of more than 350 lawyers, scientists and other professionals.
Monterey Bay Aquarium ~ The mission of the non-profit Monterey Bay Aquarium is to inspire conservation of the oceans.
Jimi Rocks ~ An “Edutainment” site where children are introduced to the natural wonders that lie beneath the beautiful oceans of the world.
Sailors for the Sea - The boating community has a profound passion for and knowledge of the world’s seas. Sailors for the Sea was founded to galvanize the sailing and boating community around ocean health issues and to educate the community in the worldwide protection of the oceans.
Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition – Saving the Ross Sea - The only non-governmental organization working full time to preserve the Antarctic continent and its surrounding Southern Ocean. A coalition of over 30 NGOs interested in Antarctic environmental protection, ASOC represents the environmental community at Antarctic governance meetings and works to promote important Antarctic conservation goals.
Haida Salmon Restoration Corporation - An Ocean Stewardship and Biotechnology company that creates knowledge and fosters understanding needed to practice stewardship of ocean pastures. A private partnership empowered and funded by the Old Massett Village Council of the Haida First Nation.
